Stellarite's Space Image Emporium

Welcome!
Here you will find all the gear and software I use (along with links to purchase/download said gear and software if you wish) alongside a collection of all astro images I have taken.

The Process

Fund my obsession so I can get better gear (If you want):

My Gear

At this time I do not have much in terms of gear, as my budget is rather small, but I am looking to expand my gear and what I have

  • Seestar S50

  • 10ft Extension Cable

  • Meade Instruments Polaris 90

I primarily use the Seestar, as it is actually a really powerful little guy and it actually has automatic sky tracking so I can film all night, although it does have a limited battery so I do use the extension cord to keep it plugged in
The Polaris 90 does not have automatic tracking so I just use it for hobby reasons, not image taking. Meade has also since gone Under, so if you want to get that specific telescope you will need to get it from a third party.

Software I Use

It's not a lot but it works well, there are some paid softwares that I eventually wanna get but they are pricey.

All four of these services are amazing free tools, Siril, PIPP, and GraXpert are dedicated astrophotography tools while Gimp is just a standard image editing tool.
Siril can do a lot, but I typically just use it for image stacking and color correction. PIPP is very similar to Siril, except it's optimized for planetary and Lunar photography. GraXpert crops, extracts background light, noise, and provides deconvolution to images. Finally Gimp is just used for final corrections and editing.

Unfortunately, the Seestar is not great at planetary imaging, as such I do not have anything of planets yet.
